Out of the ashes, something new is being born
I grew up in a loving family in Switzerland, seeing the world through rose-colored glasses. My childhood heroes were Heidi and Pollyanna, and I believed in kindness, optimism, and the goodness of people.
But life had other lessons for me.
In 1979, I settled in the U.S., and my world took a dark turn. In my 30s, I became bedridden, suffered from depression and hallucinations, and found myself isolated, abused, and trapped in a cult. The nightmare didn’t end there—I was falsely accused and spent six months in maximum security for a crime I did not commit.
I had to put aside my rose-colored glasses and face the painful truth: evil does exist.
But so does resilience.
I fought my way back—physically, emotionally, and mentally. I emerged stronger, no longer a victim, but a guide for those who feel stuck, lost, or trapped in cycles of abuse, manipulation, or legal injustice.
I now help others reclaim their power, rise above adversity, and create a thriving life—no matter what they’ve been through.
Are you ready to rise? You don’t have to do it alone.

Out of betrayal and injustice came not only personal transformation—but a written testimony. Jailed by Fraud – The Journal is the first book in my trilogy, written from behind bars and based on hundreds of letters I sent and later received back. It’s a raw, unfiltered account of what happens when truth is buried, and a mother must fight to protect her children, her sanity, and her soul.
Jailed by Fraud – The Journal
When Dr. Danielle J. Duperret was arrested for a crime she didn’t commit, her world turned upside down. Based on letters she wrote behind bars, this raw and powerful memoir exposes the harsh realities of wrongful incarceration, the failures of the legal system, and a mother’s fierce love in the face of injustice. A story of survival, courage, and the unbreakable bond between a mother and her children.
Summary of Book 1: Jailed by Fraud – The Journal
Jailed by Fraud – The Journal recounts the deeply personal and harrowing experience of Dr. Danielle J. Duperret, who was arrested and spent six months in jail—four months in Las Vegas (CCDC) and two months in Tuolumne County, California—for a crime she did not commit. The charge: child abduction. The reality: her children had run away from an abusive situation and sought safety with her.
This book is not a traditional journal but is based on the extensive letters Danielle wrote during her incarceration, which were returned to her and became the foundation of this volume. These letters reveal the psychological rollercoaster of jail life, the systemic injustice she faced, and the emotional toll on both herself and her children.
Despite being presumed innocent, Danielle was treated as guilty from the outset—“Innocent until accused.” Her firsthand account offers a raw and unfiltered look into the punitive and often dehumanizing conditions within the U.S. jail system, especially for women wrongly accused. She shares her observations of jail routines, inmate culture, and institutional neglect, such as food issues, lack of medical care, and psychological trauma.
Her daughter Joyce, who was also arrested for trying to protect her siblings, sacrificed her future and well-being to support her mother and siblings financially and emotionally. Letters from her children—especially Sonia—add an additional layer, showing the lasting emotional damage caused by family court decisions and legal abuse.
Book 1 sets the stage for the rest of the trilogy. It serves not only as a memoir but also as a testimony to the broader failures of the legal system, especially in cases involving domestic abuse and custody. It ends with a call for justice, awareness, and reform.
Book Two of the Jailed by Fraud Trilogy
Coming Up
Concept
This second volume revisits the official records, transcripts, and court filings that painted a false picture—and nearly destroyed a family. In Court of Illusions, Dr. Danielle J. Duperret walks readers through the legal maze she was forced to navigate, exposing the contradictions, omissions, and weaponized procedures that underpinned her wrongful incarceration.
This book is more than documentation. It is a confrontation—with the system, with public perception, and with the shadows that justice is supposed to dispel. It is also a reckoning with the past—and a reclaiming of power through truth.
🔥 The Final Chapter: From Darkness to Discovery
This is the third and final book in my trilogy—a journey that began in wrongful incarceration and wound through the twisted corridors of the legal system. Yes, YOU Can Recover from PTSD/LAS is the silver lining I never expected… and yet, in the end, it became the greatest gift.
This book is not about revisiting the trauma. It’s about rising from it.
Inside, I share the practices that helped me heal—body, mind, and spirit. From tapping techniques to guided imagery, hypnosis to Argentine tango, I tested each approach through lived experience. Some worked when nothing else would. Some saved my life.
Yes, YOU Can is a declaration. A promise. A path back to meaning, function, and even joy after unthinkable loss. If you’re walking through your own fire, let this book be a hand reaching back to guide you forward.
This book is my journey from surviving to recovering from C-PTSD and Legal Abuse Syndrome (LAS). It is proof that meaning and fulfillment are possible—on a deeper level.
Waiting for life to return to "normal" is not the answer—because it won’t. You have grown. You have gained wisdom and resilience that you didn’t have before. The key now is to master the emotions and patterns still affecting your mind and body, so you can step into a new, empowered life.
This book is a smorgasbord of transformative techniques—each one a tool that made a profound difference in my own healing. Use what resonates, explore new methods, and take charge of your healing journey!
